Botanical Garden 'Angelo Rambelli'

The ‘Angelo Rambelli’ Botanical Garden is an institution affiliated with the University of Tuscia, dedicated to university education, research, conservation both in situ and ex situ, and scientific dissemination, thus playing a crucial role in the dissemination of knowledge in the field of botany.
It also promotes thematic courses, events and exhibitions in order to provide the public with a basic understanding of the plant kingdom, thus helping to promote greater awareness of nature.

The Botanical Garden is located about 300 meters above sea level, near the historic thermal spring of Bulicame, already mentioned by Dante in the 14th Canto of the Inferno, and covers an area of about 6 hectares west of Viterbo. The area is divided into plots containing plants organized according to taxonomic, phytogeographic and environmental reconstruction criteria, respecting the climatic and soil characteristics of the site.
